Thousand-year Hanja, daily music, lifelong thinking
A brain-training platform — Hanja idioms with English lyrics and deep commentary
ONGO is a bilingual brain-training platform delivering 1,000 Hanja characters, 75+ English music tracks, 50 East-West paired wisdom, and 6 narrative content clusters. Launched March 2026 with timeless insights, one line a day.
🎯 Our Mission
The depth of Hanja and Eastern classics transcends eras. Yet rote memorization fails to convey their wisdom. ONGO uses music, English lyrics, and storytelling to reveal how a single Hanja character can illuminate today's life.
We aim for a meeting place between Korean native speakers and English-language learners. Placing Hanja's shape, sound, and meaning alongside English etymology reveals: two cultures speaking the same truths in different languages.
📜 Editorial Principles
No "AI era" or "digital age" framing. Only insights that ring true a thousand years ago and a thousand years from now.
Idioms cite primary sources (Analects, Mencius, etc.). English etymology verified against OED. No speculation.
All content delivered in both Korean and English. Not machine-translated — each language is rewritten in its native voice.
One idiom = one English-lyric song. As you listen, the meaning of the Hanja settles into memory naturally.
