🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What does a cat playing idly beside flowers show?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a Chinese painting of unknown hand, where a cat plays at ease beneath tall hollyhocks. The flowers bloom straight upward and the cat moves along the ground by its own grain. They seem indifferent to each other, yet they harmonize on one surface to make a warm while. In this indifference I see one shape of being together. It is not that one harmonizes only by always pouring out the heart toward the other. There are bonds where simply being in one place, each faithful to its own affairs, is enough. A distance that stays beside without binding makes the lasting relationship.

The closer the bond, the more you keep an easy distance that respects each one's own grain.
