장미와 두 마리 새
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What do two birds perched side by side on a flowering branch say to us?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is one leaf of a Qing album painted by Ren Bonian, in which two birds perch side by side on a rose branch. My heart goes to the sitting-together of these two birds. The sight of them perched on the same branch, looking toward the same place, is dear. To be together is not only to face one another but also to look side by side toward the same place. Even without exchanging words, hearts are joined simply by seeing the same scene. To be there beside another is the deepest companionship.
