📜 Origin and History
The day Dangun founded Gojoseon in BC 2333. The hanja "開" depicts two hands (廾) opening a gate (門) — to open, to begin. 開天 = "to open the sky" — the myth of Hwanung descending to Mt. Taebaek, the founding myth of the Korean people. Dangi (Dangun calendar) starts BC 2333.
