📖 Origin of the Hanja
The hanja "文" depicts patterns drawn on a person's chest — "pattern, writing, culture". Korean Moon descends mostly from Munda-seong of Nampyong Moon (Silla era). Mun Ik-jeom (1329-1398) smuggled cotton seeds in his calligraphy brush from Yuan China, revolutionizing Korean clothing.
