📖 Origin of the Hanja
The hanja "禹" was King Yu of the Xia dynasty, hero of flood control. Korean Woo traces to Woo Jung-dae of Goryeo. Woo Tak (1262-1342) was a late Goryeo scholar known for the 「Cheongsanbyeolgok」 sijo.
