Boats Moored in Wind and Rain <spa

비바람에 정박한 배(風雨泊舟圖)
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What are the boats, moored to wait out the wind and rain, waiting for?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This painting holds boats moored at a stormy waterside, waiting for their time. It came from the mood of Southern Song landscape, yet the heart that endures rough weather is the same anywhere. I see here the wisdom of not setting out. A boat's calling is to depart, yet in wind and rain it is right to stay moored. Had it forced its way out, it might have capsized. Stopping is not surrender but waiting in order to go farther. To accept a time when one cannot go is also part of the voyage. When the weather clears, the boat sets out again.

🌱Apply It Today

When conditions are rough, do not force your way out; choose, too, to stay moored and wait for your time.
