Men Watching a Waterfall <span cla

폭포를 바라보는 사람들(觀瀑圖)
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What are the people standing still before a pouring waterfall looking at?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This painting holds people who have stopped before a fiercely pouring waterfall. It came from the mood of Chinese landscape, yet the heart that grows small before a great rush of water is the same anywhere. I see here the worth of stopping to look. The waterfall is a force of nature a person can do nothing about. Before it, people do nothing and simply look. Yet that looking is not in vain. To stand before something immense is to learn one's own size, and the clamor of the heart subsides. Sometimes the deepest learning comes from doing nothing and simply facing a thing.
