Li Jian - Landscape (Leaf 3)

🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What place does one leaf of an album hold within the whole?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a landscape in color on paper by the Chinese painter Li Jian, the third leaf of an album made of several leaves. The plain charm of Chinese literati painting is held in it, yet its realization rings true in any land. In this painting I see the relation of part and whole. Seen alone, one leaf is a small scene, but seen as the whole album, it is one scene of a long journey. Our days too are like this. Set apart, each seems trivial, but joined together, they become one person's life. This single leaf now forms the whole.

🌱Apply It Today

Even if today seems trivial, do not forget that it is one leaf of a long life.
