The Prince
Is good intention enough to change the world, or is a cold sense of reality sometimes necessary?
📝ONGO's Reflection
When I first opened this book, I assumed it would be a mere catalogue of cunning and scheming. But what Machiavelli is really after comes closer to "the courage to see reality exactly as it is." He took up his pen against leaders rendered helpless by their captivity to ideal morality. There are precious things that goodness alone cannot protect. It is a cold classic that forces me to ask, before the hardships of life, how I might cultivate the power to solve real problems—rather than simply remaining a nice person.

"사랑받는 것보다 두려움의 대상이 되는 것이 훨씬 더 안전하다."
