敎師
교사
敎 (to teach) + 師 (master)
📖 Origin of the Hanja
The hanja "敎" depicts a teacher (with stick 攵) shaping a child (子) through patterns (爻). "師" = master. Together: "the master who teaches". The Analects say: "Among three walking together, one must be my teacher." Eastern teachers don't deliver knowledge — they show the way.
"敎師 shows the way — teaching not facts to memorize but directions to live."
