안개 낀 산수
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"Why does a mountain veiled in mist seem deeper?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This Japanese hanging scroll of the Kano school veils half the mountain in mist, leaving the unseen part to the imagination. The hidden place feels more distant than the revealed peak. Here lies the paradox that depth arises precisely when not everything is shown. The mist conceals the landscape and at the same time adds to its mystery. Just as a relationship with room to keep knowing lasts longer than one where all is known, a little empty space and the unknown make depth in life.
