산중 풍경 (산속 정경)
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What does one who has walked deep into the mountains finally meet?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This Japanese landscape by Sengaku Toshu holds a scene deep within mountains that fold range upon range. The deeper one goes into the mountain, the further the sounds of the world recede, until only stillness remains. Only after leaving the clamorous places and reaching the deep does a person finally hear the sound of his own heart. Here I see the worth of withdrawing. Always among people, one has no room to hold a thought of one's own. Sometimes a time of being alone, as if entering deep mountains, is needed. Only within stillness does the heart at last set itself in order.

🌱Apply It Today

Today, even briefly, slip away from the noise and make a time of being alone, as if entering the mountains.
