Buddha Amitabha descending from hi
"What does the figure of a Buddha descending to meet a person mean?"
📝ONGO's Reflection
This is a Chinese Buddhist painting by an unknown painter, in which Amitabha descends from the Pure Land to meet a person. It is not a figure that stays in a high place but one that lowers itself and draws near of its own accord. I see deep meaning in this descending. A truly great being does not tell one to come up but comes down first and reaches out a hand. To call from above is authority, but to draw near to the low is love. There is a great vessel in knowing how to lower oneself.
🌱Apply It Today
Rather than waiting to be called to come, become a person who first takes one step nearer.
