Chinese Painting- Traveling on the Road

노상행려도(길 떠나는 나그네)
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What does a painting of a wayfarer on the road say to us?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a Chinese painting attributed to Wang Yan, holding the figure of a wayfarer going along the road. The traveler crossing mountains and fields was a subject old painting gladly took up. My heart goes to this person on the road. For the wayfarer, what matters is not the place where he has stayed but the road he must go. Everyone is on a road. More than where one has arrived, whether one is now walking one's own road properly matters more. As long as one walks without stopping, the road in the end carries on.

🌱Apply It Today

Do not fret over where you have arrived; ask instead whether you are walking your own road properly now.
