🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What harmony do the meeting of flower and bird reflect?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This Japanese bird-and-flower painting by Ishizaki Yushi finely brings flower and bird, color and empty space, into accord. Not one of them stands out, yet together they bring the surface to life. The charm of bird-and-flower painting lies in not competing for the lead. The flower sets off the bird, and the bird brings the flower alive. Good accord is not a matter of pressing one another down but of making one another shine. A relationship in which each grows better for being together is the harmony that lasts longest.
