🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What does the wish to hold an entire mountain in a single glance seek to see?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

Gyeomjae Jeong Seon spread the inner peaks of autumn Geumgangsan across one surface, as if gazing down upon them all. Valleys, rocks, even the temple find their places, holding the whole of the mountain. Here I feel the gaze of one who wishes to see the whole. Bound to a single nearby peak, you lose the mountain. Only when you step back and look far do the scattered things join into one landscape. Jeong Seon shows us the mountain he walked and held with his eyes, drawn again from the height of the mind.
