송하음다도(松下飮茶圖)
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What is the ease conveyed by a scene of drinking tea beneath a pine?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This painting by Sim Sa-jeong holds a quiet hour of brewing and drinking tea beneath an aged pine. With no great event and no busy motion, only the pine wind and the steam of the tea water fill the place. I see here a time filled by emptying. The pine, green through every season, speaks of what does not change, and tea, if hurried, yields none of its true taste. Good things steep slowly. There is a depth that cannot be tasted by a busy mind. While one pauses and waits for the water to boil, a person at last looks within.

🌱Apply It Today

For as long as one cup of tea takes to steep, stop your hands and let your mind settle.
