🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What is the meaning of gathering lotus, fish, and birds onto a single folding screen?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a painting where lotus, fish, and birds are brought into harmony on one screen. The lotus, which blooms from mud yet is not soiled, has from old times been a symbol of a clear heart. Beneath it fish swim, and above it birds settle. I feel that this picture is the sight of different lives each living by their own grain in one place. The lotus does not blame the mud; it blooms its flower from there. Whatever the ground I stand on, what I will bloom into there is, in the end, mine to decide.
