Qing Painting- Happy life of Nobility

귀족의 안락한 생활
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What does a scene holding an abundant daily life truly seek to say?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a painting made in the Qing dynasty, holding the comfortable daily life of the wealthy. Scenes of leisurely gardens and harmonious living fill the canvas. Though it came from the tradition of Chinese painting, its scene carries anywhere. I come to ask, before this abundant scene, after the form of happiness. Comfort is a good thing, yet it is not the whole of happiness. Whether the peace in the scene truly filled their hearts as well cannot be known from the painting alone. Possessing and being content are different. Whether the heart is truly at peace within what one has, asking this matters more.

More than the much or little of what you have, ask whether your heart is at peace within it.
