Boating on a Moonlit Night
"Where does the heart turn when a boat is set adrift on the river beneath the moon?"
📝ONGO's Reflection
Kim Hong-do set a single boat afloat on a river by moonlight. Not in the bright of day but in a night where everything has grown dim, people lay down their hurry and give themselves to the waves and the moonlight. There is no purpose of having to arrive somewhere, no urgency of having to achieve. In this painting I see that sometimes we need time spent setting out not to reach anywhere, but simply to be carried by the flow. The moon does not press us on.
🌱Apply It Today
Even for a moment today, set down the wish to arrive somewhere and keep a quiet hour of simply staying.
