Yu Suk, Osusammae

오수삼매
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What ease is held in a single stretch of midday nap?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

Yu Suk rendered the scene of one drifting leisurely into a nap with plain ink. Without bustle or formality, a moment of setting everything down for a while fills the surface. Just as the word samadhi means deep absorption, to rest wholly is itself a kind of attainment. Only one who rests well can go far, and only one who has emptied knows how to fill again. Idleness and rest are not the same. Rest is the most honest preparation for what comes next.

🌱Apply It Today

Deliberately leave a short stretch of today empty, doing nothing at all.
