DAY 351

You Reap What You Sow

Galatians 6:7
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
ὃ γὰρ ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος, τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει.
📜 THE VERSE

Whatever a person sows, that he will also reap.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

What seed am I sowing now, and what do I hope to harvest later?

📝Reflection

The logic of the field is honest. Sow beans, beans come up; sow red beans, red beans come up. Paul says life is the same—what you sow today returns, in time, just as it was. This is not only a threat but also a comfort, for it means today's small diligence is not wasted. Only, between seed and fruit there is time, so what is sown is simply not yet visible. Impatient, I ruined many fields rushing the harvest early. The words and deeds I sow today make the me of tomorrow. So it is enough to decide today what to plant.
