In All Labor There Is Profit
In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to want.
Am I lush with plans and talk, while postponing the first step of the hand?
📝Reflection
Talk is easy and work is hard, so we often settle for speaking instead of doing. The Hebrew sage points at that gap coolly. However small, real labor always leaves something behind; however plausible, mere talk leaves nothing in the end. To postpone starting while crafting the perfect plan is, in truth, the most refined form of laziness. A day of moving the hands, however clumsily, beats a day of talking perfectly. Results are proportional not to the amount of talk but to the amount of labor. To actually take even one step today — that alone leaves something behind.
🌱Apply It Today
Take one thing you have only talked about, and actually do its smallest first step today — imperfect is fine.
This verse is read as universal humanistic wisdom, not religion — no faith is promoted, and the reflection is 100% original ONGO content.
