DAY 72

One Who Spares Words Has Knowledge

Proverbs 17:27
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
חוֹשֵׂךְ אֲמָרָיו יוֹדֵעַ דָּעַת
📜 THE VERSE

One who spares his words has knowledge; one of a calm spirit is a person of understanding.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I speak much because I truly know, or am I filling gaps with words because I do not?

📝Reflection

In many rooms I confirmed that those who know most speak least. Often the one who overflows with words is the one least sure. The one who knows does not pour it all out. He sets down only what is needed and holds the rest, cool and quiet. The strength to endure silence is, in truth, the mark of the deepest knowing.
