DAY 76

Death and Life Are in the Tongue

Proverbs 18:21
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
מָוֶת וְחַיִּים בְּיַד־לָשׁוֹן
📜 THE VERSE

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Today, did my tongue build someone up, or tear someone down?

📝Reflection

No sentence names as coolly as this short one that a single word can raise or ruin a person. The tongue holds power — power that can cut like a blade or light like a lamp. The trouble is that no one wields it for you. The fruit of my tongue, I eat myself in the end. The words I sow today are the table I harvest tomorrow.
