DAY 184

A Tree Planted by Streams

Psalm 1:3
기원전 10~5세기
ORIGINAL
וְהָיָה כְּעֵץ שָׁתוּל עַל־פַּלְגֵי מָיִם
📜 THE VERSE

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, and its leaf does not wither.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

By what waters are my roots drawing water right now?

📝Reflection

A tree cannot move where it stands. Only where it sets its roots decides its fruit. This old song does not describe the good life with any flourish. Root yourself near water, it says plainly, and even in a year of drought your leaf will not wither. I was impatient for a long time — why is there still no fruit? But the tree bears "in season." My task was never to rush the fruit, but to quietly sink my roots by waters that do not run dry.

🌱Apply It Today

Today, name one "stream" that keeps you from withering — a person, a habit, an hour. Then linger beside it a little longer.
