🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What do mountain peaks ranged fold upon fold try to tell us?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a Chinese landscape by an unknown painter, in which the peaks recede fold upon fold. The near mountain is dark and clear, but the far mountain fades thin and vanishes. My heart goes to this sense of depth. The mountain is not one but joined fold upon fold, so that crossing one ridge, another ridge appears. Having reached one thing is not the end there. A peak is not an end but the place from which to see the next peak. One ought to have an eye that takes in even the thin, far mountains.

🌱Apply It Today

Do not stop there for having reached one thing; look toward the next mountain that lies beyond it.
