선녀도
🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What do the trailing robes of the heavenly maiden, descended from the sky, draw?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

With a single flowing robe, Kim Hong-do captured the lightness and mystery of a heavenly maiden in one breath. A bearing that seems not to touch the ground comes alive within the soft lines. The heavenly maiden is a being shaped by human longing, so the painting holds within it the wish to grow freer and lighter. The more one carries a heavy burden, the more one dreams of lightness. Yet true lightness is closer not to the state of having no burden, but to a freedom in which the heart does not waver even while bearing one.
