"By what do I remember the gatherings with people I have shared long years with?"
📝ONGO's Reflection
This is a scene of an elders' assembly, aged officials seated together by a pond in the south. Yi Gi-ryong added a passage of writing and left that day's gathering as a painting. In it I read a heart that deliberately fastened onto canvas a bond that scatters all too easily. Those who have crossed a season of life together will one day part, each to his own road. And so they wished to keep that single day of being together as a record. The gathering ends, but the heart that held the place dear remains, having become a painting.
