🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"Why does the heart open before a landscape full of empty space?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is one leaf of a landscape album that Danwon Kim Hong-do painted in ink on paper. Mountains, water, and the broad emptiness between them do not fill the scene but leave it open. My heart lingers on this emptying. By not painting everything, he left room for the viewer's heart to enter. If filling is skill, emptiness is the vessel. When not everything is explained, more is conveyed instead. The same principle holds in word and deed; beside one who leaves an empty space, the other can breathe more freely.

🌱Apply It Today

Rather than trying to fill everything, deliberately leave an empty space for the other to enter.
