Scholar's Books and Objects (Chaekkeori) (image 2 of 3)
"What is the inner order spoken of by a painting of objects stacked in neat array?"
📝ONGO's Reflection
This bookshelf painting, rendered on paper and silk across an eight-panel screen, stacks books and objects neatly compartment by compartment. The order of things placed in their proper spots without clutter mirrors the bearing of the one who wished to live within it. In this painting I see that outer order is joined to inner order. One who knows how to set objects in good order knows how to set thoughts in good order as well. To assign each thing its compartment is also a practice in giving sequence to a disordered heart.
🌱Apply It Today
Choose one cluttered desk or drawer, and today give it sequence and set it in order.
