Remote Landscape with Pavilion <sp

🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What role does a single small pavilion play within a distant landscape?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This painting set a single small pavilion among far mountains and waters. It was drawn in the tradition of Chinese landscape painting, yet the question of a person's place within a vast scene reaches anyone. I see here a small dwelling set within immensity. The mountains are endlessly great and the pavilion is small as a dot. Yet because that small pavilion is there, the viewer knows where to rest the heart. Vastness on its own is overwhelming. Only when there is one point at which to stay does the landscape become a person's own. One small place gives meaning to a wide world.
