🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"Why do so many gather for the happy occasion of a single person?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This folding screen sets a court ceremony celebrating the fortieth birthday of Queen Dowager Jo in orderly fashion across a broad surface. The rows of ministers and the arranged regalia are placed without a single gap. In this painting I read that order itself is devotion. When one truly means to honor someone, one does not let one's own place fall into disarray. What strikes the eye even before the splendor is that composure of everyone holding their station and gathering their hearts toward one person.
