This painting by Yu Suk brings the old tale of Zhuge Liang onto the silk. In the bearing of the figure who weighs the shape of the realm there is no exaggerated show of power. The greater the design a person holds, the calmer the surface tends to be. Here I see the paradox of depth. The one who looks furthest ahead moves most quietly.
