📜 THE VERSE

O Earth, set me at your center, within your steadfast keeping. From you flow purifying powers — with them, make me pure.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

When my mind is shaken, do I have one steadfast center to set me upright again?

📝Reflection

This verse is the prayer of a shaken person asking to stand again by leaning on something firm. 'Set me at your center' — the earth is the symbol of a steadfastness nothing can shake. Here I see the importance of a center. When a person is shaken, having even one firm thing to lean on keeps them from collapse — an old principle, a beloved person, or a small daily routine. As the earth supports me beneath my feet, the heart too needs such support. Leaning on what does not shake, even the shaken self grows clear again and stands again.
