DAY 8

No Effort on This Path Is Wasted

Bhagavad Gītā 2:40
기원전 2세기경 편찬(서사시 전승)
ORIGINAL
nehābhikrama-nāśo 'sti pratyavāyo na vidyate
📜 THE VERSE

On this path no effort begun is lost, and no step becomes a setback. Even a little of this way guards you from great fear.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Because results are not yet visible, am I erasing a good step I have already taken?

📝Reflection

In this verse I hear the old teacher's gentlest comfort. A single step taken in the right direction never vanishes, even when no result is yet in sight. Here lives Laozi's saying that a journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one's feet, together with the old wisdom that small drops fill the jar. Trusting that today's small practice is not wasted, I place one more step without rushing the result.

🌱Apply It Today

If a good habit tempts you to quit for lack of visible results, say 'this step will not vanish,' and do it just once more.
