DAY 133

Still, Yet Outrunning All

📜 THE VERSE

The unmoving One — swifter than the mind. The senses never catch what has already gone ahead. Standing still, it outruns all who run.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I believe I can catch it by running faster, forgetting the speed of stillness?

📝Reflection

The deepest thing cannot be caught by chasing. However fast the mind runs, its source has already arrived there. It sounds like paradox, yet we know it: the noisier the mind, the further the essential recedes, and only when we halt in quiet does it grow clear. It is the ground where the Psalm says, 'Be still, and know.' The true center is not with the runner but in the place that quietly watches all that runs.
