📜 THE VERSE

He did not know that within the lining of his own garment lay a priceless jewel.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Could the thing I wander outside searching for already be sewn within me?

📝Reflection

A poor man fell asleep drunk in the house of a wealthy friend. Leaving in haste, the friend sewed a priceless jewel into the man's garment. Unaware, the man wandered for years like a beggar, hungry. When at last they met again and the friend pointed to the lining, only then did the man learn he had carried the treasure all along. This story shamed me. How often we go begging outside for happiness, for worth, for peace — believing that with more, with more recognition, we will at last be all right. But the teacher says: what you seek is already sewn within you. Poverty comes not from having nothing, but from not knowing what you have.

🌱Apply It Today

When the thought "if only I had this one more thing" arises today, pause and write down one treasure already sewn within you. It was always there, before you began to search.
