DAY 308

Love Does Not Seek Its Own

1 Corinthians 13:5
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
οὐκ ἀσχημονεῖ, οὐ ζητεῖ τὰ ἑαυτῆς, οὐ παροξύνεται, οὐ λογίζεται τὸ κακόν.
📜 THE VERSE

Love is not rude, does not seek its own way, is not easily provoked, and keeps no record of wrongs.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

How many old grievances am I still keeping in the ledger of my heart?

📝Reflection

The Greek behind "keeps no record of wrongs" is originally an accounting term. Logizetai means to enter into a ledger and reckon. Love does not write the other's faults in a book to be tallied again and again. Even while claiming to love, I had opened an account of grievances and charged interest on it. Love that does not seek its own is love that does not count what it is owed. The moment the tallying stops, a relationship can finally breathe.

🌱Apply It Today

Pick one old entry from the "grievance ledger" in your heart, and for today at least, strike it from the count.
