DAY 264

Like Yeast Working Through the Whole

Matthew 13:33
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
ὁμοία ἐστὶν ζύμῃ, ἣν λαβοῦσα γυνὴ ἐνέκρυψεν εἰς ἀλεύρου σάτα τρία
📜 THE VERSE

It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I believe that this small practice of mine is spreading even where I cannot see it?

📝Reflection

Yeast is barely a handful compared to the whole batch of dough. But given time, the entire dough comes to resemble the yeast's own nature. This parable promises no instant result. Instead it speaks of a power that spreads quietly, unnoticed. One act of honesty a day, one kindness a day, looks small in itself. But it accumulates the way yeast works — until, at some point, it has changed the texture of an entire life.
