DAY 247

You Are the Salt of the Earth

Matthew 5:13
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
Ὑμεῖς ἐστε τὸ ἅλας τῆς γῆς· ἐὰν δὲ τὸ ἅλας μωρανθῇ, ἐν τίνι ἁλισθήσεται;
📜 THE VERSE

You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

In the place where I belong, am I still bringing the flavor only I can bring?

📝Reflection

Salt is never the star of a dish. It is the quiet presence that draws out flavor and slows decay — barely noticed until it is gone. Without it, the whole meal turns flat. This image asks for no dazzling presence. It asks only that we quietly bring flavor where we stand, and slow the spread of decay around us. Just as salt that has lost its saltiness is useless, a person who loses their own essential role grows unclear about why they are there at all.

🌱Apply It Today

In the place where you stand today, think of one small flavor only you can add.
