DAY 336

Let Your Gentleness Be Known to All

Philippians 4:5
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
τὸ ἐπιεικὲς ὑμῶν γνωσθήτω πᾶσιν ἀνθρώποις.
📜 THE VERSE

Let your gentleness be known to all people.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

When people think of me, what quality comes to mind first?

📝Reflection

The Greek epieikes means "a generosity that does not press every point by the letter but weighs the situation and knows when to yield." Paul says let this gentleness be known not to a few but to "all people." We are easily generous to those we like and harsh to those we dislike. But real gentleness does not sort people. I often caught myself being gracious only to those who were good to me. A quality that does not change with whom you face—that is a person's true character.

🌱Apply It Today

To one person who makes you uncomfortable today, try the same gentleness you show those you like.
