Certainty often makes us skip verification. So the wise, before deciding, ask once more: 'Where does this road end?' The eye that sees the rightness of the end, not just the start, is what divides hasty certainty from careful wisdom. The humility to doubt one's own certainty, even once, prevents great mistakes.
