DAY 190

Heavens That Speak Without Words

Psalm 19:1
기원전 10~5세기
ORIGINAL
הַשָּׁמַיִם מְסַפְּרִים כְּבוֹד־אֵל
📜 THE VERSE

The heavens tell of a glory beyond them, and the sky unfolds its craft without a single word.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I know how to hear what wordless things are saying?

📝Reflection

The next line of this poem continues: "There is no speech, no words, yet their voice goes out through all the earth." The poet knew the deepest things are conveyed without speech — a sunset, the waves, the grain of wood. These keep saying something without writing a single sentence. In a world drowning in words, I lost the voice of the wordless things. The sky was telling its story all day today without a word, while I, staring at a screen, failed to read even one line of that long sentence.
