📜 THE VERSE

Because this exists, that exists; because this arises, that arises.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

This matter before me now — what unseen threads gathered to make it?

📝Reflection

Dependent arising is no grand doctrine but a very simple observation: nothing arises alone. The single meal before me holds sunlight and rain, the farmer's aching back, the truck driver's dawn. Even one of today's moods is tangled with last night's sleep, a morning remark, some memory from ten years ago. Seeing this, two things change. One: it grows hard to blame anyone carelessly, since countless conditions are woven into every matter. The other: there is more to be grateful for, since this ordinary day is in fact the result of innumerable causes holding it up.

🌱Apply It Today

Pick one ordinary thing you received today (a meal, a help, an ease) and recall just three unseen hands that made it possible. What was taken for granted becomes a gift.
