Now We See in a Mirror, Dimly
For now we see in a mirror, dimly; but then we shall see face to face.
Can I live at peace with what I still cannot fully understand?
📝Reflection
Ancient mirrors were polished bronze, so the image came back dim and blurred. Paul likens that clouded mirror to how we now see the world. We live without knowing everything clearly. Why that thing happened, what that person truly meant—we cannot fully know now. This verse comforts because it tells us the present dimness is not a failing but the human condition. To be able to love without fully knowing—that is the wisdom of a grown person.
🌱Apply It Today
If something frustrates you today for lack of an answer, tell yourself, "For now I see only dimly," and set the impatience down once.
This verse is read as universal humanistic wisdom, not religion — no faith is promoted, and the reflection is 100% original ONGO content.
