DAY 310

Love Bears All Things

1 Corinthians 13:7
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
πάντα στέγει, πάντα πιστεύει, πάντα ἐλπίζει, πάντα ὑπομένει.
📜 THE VERSE

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I still believe in the one I love, or have I already given up?

📝Reflection

The Greek stegei, "bears all things," means to cover like a roof, shielding from wind and rain. Love does not expose the other's weakness to the whole world but roofs it over. And still it believes, hopes, and endures. This verse, with its fourfold "all things," shows love's stubbornness. Love does not collapse at a single disappointment. It becomes a roof over the other, holding its place even on the worst of days.
