DAY 133

All My Works Were Chasing After Wind

Ecclesiastes 2:11
기원전 3세기경 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
וְהִנֵּה הַכֹּל הֶבֶל וּרְעוּת רוּחַ
📜 THE VERSE

I looked on all the works my hands had done, and behold, all was vanity and a chasing after wind.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

What I now reach to grasp with both hands — is it something that holds, or only wind?

📝Reflection

The Preacher is a man who built palaces, planted gardens, and owned all one could own. And his verdict after the reckoning is "a chasing after wind." This is not a loser's sour grapes but an honest confession only one who has achieved everything can make. Achievement is not the evil; the fist that clenches to hold achievement forever is what is vain. Wind is felt only with an open hand. Clench it and it vanishes. Only one who knows this paradox can achieve without being bound.

🌱Apply It Today

Rejoice in one thing you achieved today, but practice "feeling and releasing" it rather than "clenching" it.
