DAY 252

Whoever Humbles Themselves Will Be Lifted Up

Luke 18:14
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
πᾶς ὁ ὑψῶν ἑαυτὸν ταπεινωθήσεται, ὁ δὲ ταπεινῶν ἑαυτὸν ὑψωθήσεται
📜 THE VERSE

Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and whoever humbles themselves will be exalted.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I go around announcing my own achievements, or do I let them speak for themselves?

📝Reflection

Two people went to pray. One listed how devout he was; the other simply admitted his own shortcomings. This story is not a call to belittle achievement, but a paradox: self-praise ends up shrinking the self. The harder one tries to exalt oneself, the more others keep their distance. But near someone who humbles themselves, people oddly draw close and lift them up on their own.
